I’d like to recap on a couple of educational tools that advisers may use when speaking to potential new SMSF trustees. The usual advice and qualification requirements may be enhanced by our You Tube video that compares SMSFs with large APRA funds. At over 12 minutes, it’s rather long for an animated video but covers all the differences we could think of. It takes an impartial approach. It’s educational, not sales, focused. Feel free to use it if you like.

If, after considering the comparative video, your clients are still interested in an SMSF then perhaps you’d like to explain that not everyone can have one. This video link, Do you qualify for an SMSF?, can save a lot of wasted time.
